Along with frigid temperatures, hot cocoa and pumpkin spice cravings and doorbuster sales, the holiday season ushers in a time of reflection. Here at the Georgia Museum of Art we want to pause to acknowledge how thankful we are for the support of all who visit, donate to, promote and volunteer to help us keep art accessible for the Athens community.
It is an honor to serve members of the Classic City community, from the teetering toddler learning about primary colors to the retirees who graciously spend their time here, to the generous donors, members, friends and the University of Georgia students, faculty and staff. We extend our gratitude to each of you.
While we’re closed Thanksgiving Day and on Black Friday, we will be back to regular hours this weekend—just in time for Museum Store Sunday, our own version of Black Friday. We look forward to seeing you there.
Happy Thanksgiving from the museum. Here’s to many more memories together.
