One of the benefits of becoming a Friend + Contributing Member at the Georgia Museum of Art is the reciprocal membership discounts and privileges at more than 1,000 art museums, cultural centers and historic sites throughout North America. Georgia Museum of Art members receive these benefits through four reciprocal programs: North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) Association, Southeastern Reciprocal Membership Program (SERM), Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) and College and University Art Museums (CUAM).
NARM, SERM, ROAM and CUAM all operate in a similar fashion. Each program allows members of participating museums free or discounted admission, discounts in museum shops and cafés and discounts on ticketed events. For example, a Friend + Contributing Member of the Georgia Museum of Art can receive free admission to museums such as the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the American Folk Art Museum in New York and American Civil War Museum in Nashville, among many others.
The full lists of participating museums for SERM, NARM, ROAM and CUAM are available online.
The Friend + Contributing Member level is reached with a donation to the Annual Fund in the amount of $125 or more during a fiscal year. Other benefits of becoming a Contributing Member include membership for two adults and all children 18 and under at the same address, digital communications including the Weekly Brief and event invitations, print copies of invitations and quarterly Facet and no charge to quarterly 90 Carlton receptions.
