Virtual Family Day

Alfred Heber Holbrook

When Alfred Heber Holbrook donated 100 works of art to establish the Georgia Museum of Art in 1945, he did so with the desire to share art with everyone. After Holbrook retired from practicing law, he took up art. He was often spotted driving throughout the community to showcase works of art. He also created his own works. In keeping with Holbrook’s vision, the museum will host a virtual Family Day on Saturday, July 18, 2020.

This Family Day includes online games, a free Art at Home worksheet and art activity kit that you can pick up at the museum’s back entrance until 2 p.m. on Friday, July 17. The event will focus on three paintings from the museum’s original permanent collection. Family Day art kits are sponsored by Heyward Allen Motor Co., Inc., Heyward Allen Toyota and the Friends of the Georgia Museum of Art.

Join us in sharing art safely with friends and family.
