Museum Shop manager Adam Clark

Adam Clark has joined the museum staff as the Museum Shop manager. The shop, which opened in 1989, has an incredible selection art-related items that let visitors take a piece of the museum home or share their experience with a loved one. As the shop manager, Clark is a vital part of visitor experience at the museum.

Clark is no stranger to the UGA community. He comes to the museum from the University of Georgia Bookstore, where he spent five years as co-store manager. Clark also previously worked at Lowe’s for 12 years and has experience in various security and law enforcement positions.

Clark is excited to “put his own stamp” on the Museum Shop. He is hoping to share even more products, including emblematic merchandise, for guests to enjoy. Clark says that his favorite part of his new position is working with his fellow museum staff and the serenity of the museum environment.

While he’s not working at the museum, Clark enjoys photography. His love of the camera drew him to the “Reckonings and Reconstructions” exhibition(opens in new tab), featuring photos from the Do Good Fund, which is his favorite exhibition on view at the museum. Clark also said that he enjoys the older works of art in the permanent collection.

The museum is thrilled to welcome Clark and see what new and exciting things he brings to the shop. He’s busy working on a holiday gift guide that we’ll share with you soon.
