Over the past two-plus decades, the Georgia Museum of Art has seen great progress in the study of Georgia arts and material culture. Decorative arts initiatives lie at the heart of our educational mission, and both the symposium and the Henry D. Green Center for the Study of the Decorative Arts remain vital to the museum and our state. The Henry D. Green Symposium for the Decorative Arts has resulted in volumes of published scholarship and reached thousands interested in the material culture of our state and region.
