studying the humanities

One of the key elements in the museum’s expansion was the construction of its Study Centers in the Humanities, four named units containing archives that supplement the museum’s collection and promote hands-on research. This small exhibition introduced the Henry D. Green Center for the Study of the Decorative Arts, the C.L. Morehead Jr. Center for the Study of American Art, the Jacob Burns Foundation Center (devoted to the study of prints and drawings) and the Pierre Daura Center.
