This special temporary display complemented “Dale Nichols: Transcending Regionalism” and features images of the Midwest by American artists. The works were drawn from the permanent collection of the Georgia Museum of Art as well as from objects on extended loan to the museum from the collection of Jason Schoen, Princeton, New Jersey. These American Scene images of the Midwest provided an aesthetic and historical context for Nichols’ paintings.
