
Studio Workshop: Little Printed Wonders with Amanda Jane Burk
Join teaching artist Amanda Jane Burk for a three-part printmaking workshop. Over the course of multiple classes, participants will create a printed landscape of shapes, colors and patterns using a collage of relief methods. The workshop will take inspiration from works in the museum’s print collection and “We, Too, Are Made of Wonders.” $15 for Donating-level members (email jointhemuseum@uga.edu for your registration link); $25 for everyone else (register here(opens in new tab)). Space is limited and registration is required. Sessions will be held June 7, 14 and 21, 2 – 4 p.m.
Amanda Jane Burk is a printmaker in Athens, Georgia. She uses traditional forms of printmaking (intaglio, relief, screen printing, lithography) in her artwork, often alongside hand drawn or painted elements. Burk teaches printmaking at the college level, hand-prints editions for artists, leads printmaking workshops and is an established mural painter. She was the in-house printmaker for the Lyndon House Arts Center’s annual artist print series, was a co-owner/operator of Double Dutch Press from 2012 to 2016 and owned and operated Flat File Print Shop from 2022 to 2024. Burk is also a former director of the Winterville Cultural Center Gallery.
