Sky-Ocean: Weaving Together Music, Art and Nature

This program is presented by Chamber Music Athens(opens in new tab) in collaboration with the museum. It will include Tyson Gholston Davis’ “Sky-Ocean,” based on a painting by Helen Frankenthaler; Gabriela Lena Frank’s “Cinco Danzas de Chambi,” based on photographs by Martin Chambi; Sebastian Currier’s “Next Atlantis,” with projections and electronics processing the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina; and more. Artists will include Chamber Music Athens 2026’s distinguished guests Ying String Quartet and Ieva Jokubaviciute (piano) as well as Hugh Hodgson School of Music faculty, alumni and graduate students.
