Press Release: DJ De La Luna to play summer Museum Mix

07.07.2023

The Georgia Museum of Art will host its summer Museum Mix on Thursday, July 27, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The galleries will remain open late while DJ De La Luna plays a set. There will be free refreshments courtesy of home.made and Marti’s at Midday. As always, Museum Mix is free and open to the public.

DJ De La Luna, also known as Sebastian Granados, is a Colombian DJ who now lives and plays in Athens. Granados describes the music he plays as “Italo-Disco,” which he says is “a hybrid subgenre of pop music, electronic music, and dance music heavily influenced by disco and 80s music.” Coming from Colombia, Granados says that he grew up in a culture that was full of music and dancing. Wanting to bring that mentality to Athens, he began playing shows and having dance parties around town. He says, “My goal is to play music that makes people want to dance.”

Exhibitions on view include “Southern/Modern,” “In Dialogue: Power Couple: Pierre and Louise Daura in Paris,” “Sky Hopinka: Lore” and “Power and Piety in 17th-Century Spanish Art,” as well as the permanent collection galleries.
