Toddler Tuesday: Have a Seat

11.17.2020

These are special chairs made just for kids.

What do you notice?

How many different sizes can you find? Which one is the biggest? And which one is the smallest?

Some chairs are painted. What are some painted colors you see?

What kind of chairs do you have in your house? Do you have a special chair you like to sit in? Sit in three different chairs at your house and talk with someone you are with about how each chair is different.

Now it is time to make your own art sitting in your favorite chair.

You will need:
  • A high chair with a tray
  • Finger paints (nontoxic)
  • Paper (optional)

How to make high chair art:
  1. Safely buckle your toddler into a high chair.
  2. Place generous pools of two to three colors of finger paint on the high chair tray (or paper).
  3. Let your little one smush, mush and move the paint around with their fingers.
  4. Clean tray and repeat until the fun is over.
