We can practice our ABCs as we look at works of art. You can find all sorts of things that start with different letters in a museum.
This painting is called “Esther Before Ahasuerus.” It shows Queen Esther asking the king to save her people. As you look closely, play I-Spy and find things that start with different letters of the alphabet.

For this activity, you will need
- a letter template (you can print this one(opens in new tab))
- pencil
- assorted art supplies, such as crayons, markers or stickers

To make your alphabet art
- Cover your work surface for easy clean-up.
- Draw an outline of a letter for your little one.
- Let your toddler decorate the letter with a variety of art supplies.
- Add different colors, textures and designs to encourage creativity.
