“If you can’t make it good, make it big.”

A famous art school joke, attributed to graphic designer Paul Rand, reads, “If you can’t make it good, make it big.” “XL” shows you can do both. This exhibition featured large contemporary paintings, prints and sculpture from the collection of the Georgia Museum of Art or on long-term loan to the museum. Artists with work in the exhibition included Sandro Chia, Gregory Gillespie, Andy Warhol, Terry Winters and Jack Youngerman.
