The evolution of Design

This exhibition included several dated examples of Caucasian rugs from 1805 to the early 20th century. A selection of 11 examples provided the opportunity to discuss the evolution of design as well as the indigenous use and wear patterns. Caucasian rugs were regularly imported into the United States, including Georgia, throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
