It’s been a quiet week on campus because of Spring Break so it’s a good week to share a round up of all of the publications, podcasts, radio interviews and other media mentions of the Georgia Museum of Art in recent months. From reviews of recent exhibitions, announcements about awards and grants and the occasional mention of an artist who we have featured in an exhibition or is part of our permanent collection, it’s impressive how often the museum is in the media. Here’s a look at the latest. Please take a moment to dote on the museum, the artists and the work the Georgia Museum of Art’s dedicated staff.

Foschi in Florence
Nelda Damiano, the Pierre Daura Curator of European Art at the Georgia Museum of Art, made headlines in Italy recently. She spearheaded the exhibition “Wealth and Beauty: Pier Francesco Foschi and Renaissance Florence,” in early 2022 at the Georgia Museum of Art. It was the first museum exhibition in the world focusing on the artist. In November 2023, Damiano helped bring an exhibition on the artist to his home in Florence at the Galleria dell’Accademia. It was the first exhibition devoted to Foschi in Europe. You can read more about it in the upcoming issue of Facet, but for now we have a treasure trove of praise and reviews of the exhibition.
