Gifts and Prayers: The Romanovs and Their Subjects

September 03, 2016 - December 31, 2016
Dorothy Alexander Roush and Martha Thompson Dinos Galleries

This exhibition of exquisite objects from a private collection (on extended loan and a promised gift to the Georgia Museum of Art) shows how the Romanov family of Russian rulers commissioned, used and distributed gifts to solidify its hold on power. It includes portrait paintings, military medals and orders, statuettes, icons, snuff boxes and objects made by Fabergé, among many other items.

A fully illustrated exhibition catalogue, published by the museum, is available for purchase here.
