Steven J. Tepper, associate director of the Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy and associate professor of sociology at Vanderbilt University, will speak about arts advocacy, democracy and the role of creativity in the new economy. Tepper’s most recent publication is “Not Here, Not Now, Not That! Protest Over Art and Culture in America.” Cosponsored by Ideas for Creative Exploration (ICE), an interdisciplinary initiative for advanced research in the arts at UGA, and the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts.
